Dr. A. Wayne Johnson
Founder – President
Dr. A. Wayne Johnson is a visionary entrepreneur, seasoned leader, and passionate advocate for affordable, high-quality housing. As Founder and President of Presidential Cottage Homes, he has combined decades of experience in business, finance, and public service to create an innovative housing solution that meets one of the most pressing needs in America today—accessible homeownership.
With a deep understanding of community development and scalable infrastructure, Dr. Johnson’s approach to homebuilding is grounded in both compassion and practicality. Drawing inspiration from historic Sears, Roebuck, & Co. kit homes and modern modular efficiencies, he has helped pioneer a new model of stick-built, pre-crafted homes that are beautiful, durable, and move-in ready within weeks.
A native of Georgia, Dr. Johnson launched Presidential Cottage Homes in Plains, Georgia. His leadership reflects a unique blend of innovation and purpose, delivering homes people are proud to own and pass down.
Dr. Johnson’s career has spanned sectors, including serving in the U.S. Department of Education, where he championed student loan reform, and leading multiple successful private ventures. Now, with Presidential Cottage Homes, he continues to build more than just houses—he’s building futures.
“We’re not just building homes—we’re building communities, and giving people a chance to live with dignity and pride.”
